A letter from Artist & CEO, Mike McGuirk

Thank you for your interest in supporting Bliss Factory. I started this organization in 2020 right before the Covid-19 pandemic broke out here in New York City. Managing and forming a non-profit in the middle of a pandemic is one of the most enlightening experiences I could have never imagined.

Now, more than ever, our society needs art. As a filmmaker and artist, I have produced work that sometimes does not fit into the corporate or institutional framework of most organizations. I realized there needs to be a place open to new ideas that accept artists of all race, gender, sexuality, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Experimental projects and emerging media productions are essential works that have a vast audience that’s overlooked. These types of artworks are seldom funded, especially here in The United States. Independent filmmaking has been dying out and jeopardized by the American studio system. Original works are turned away because of corporate insecurities and an underbelly of elite bias.

Bliss Factory is a new kind of organization that elevates new ideas to open up new audiences. Projects like “The Festival for NYC” an online streaming festival that could galvanize the public, support artists, musicians, and venues in need. Projects like the “The Dildo from Nantucket,” which explores an early part of American history you probably never knew about... and yes, even comedies can be social impact projects.

We have been developing projects with other artists, writers, filmmakers, actors, and advocates who have social impact-oriented goals, and we are looking for more.

With your help, Bliss Factory can produce original work that will bring us together and shape a better future.

Below you can donate via our GiveForm, Bitpay, or Paypal. All donations and proceeds from Bliss Factory go toward supporting artists in need and social impact productions. Every contribution matters.
